As we near the end of 2024 and look ahead to 2025, I’m excited to share a huge milestone with all of you—Innocent Imprint has been featured in Voyage Austin’s Inspiring Stories series!
This feature isn’t just about celebrating our achievements—it’s about telling the story of how Innocent Imprint came to be, the challenges we’ve faced, and the passion that drives us to capture life’s most beautiful and fleeting moments.
The Beginning...
How It All Began
The journey of starting Innocent Imprint didn’t happen overnight. It all started with a leap of faith, sparked by the encouragement of my husband, Paras, who is also a photographer and the founder of Lens and Beyond Photography. His passion for capturing memories inspired me to explore photography in my own way, and before long, I found myself drawn to newborn photography—a field that would capture my heart and become my full-time vocation.
While I initially worked in corporate HR, I realized my true calling was in preserving the early, magical moments of life through photography. The transition wasn’t easy, and it came with its challenges—leaving a secure job, learning the technical aspects of photography, and figuring out how to run a business. But with Paras by my side, offering guidance and support, I took the plunge into full-time photography. And that’s when Innocent Imprint was born.
Overcoming Challenges
Like any creative journey, the road wasn’t without its obstacles. One of the biggest challenges was gaining the confidence to specialize in newborn photography. Working with babies requires not only creativity but immense patience and an understanding of newborn safety, which I dedicated a lot of time to learning. The early days were filled with trial and error, but over time, I developed my unique style, and my confidence grew.
Building a business from the ground up also meant learning how to juggle the artistic side with the practical demands—client bookings, editing, marketing, social media, and managing finances. It’s a delicate balance, and I’m proud of how far we’ve come. The lessons learned from each hurdle have shaped Innocent Imprint into a brand that not only offers beautiful photos but also creates meaningful experiences for families.
